Welcome to Morocco! Your tour begins the moment you land at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. Your friendly driver will be waiting to greet you and take you to your hotel. Once you have checked in and settled down, take a little time to rest and get ready for the days ahead.
If you arrive early and have the energy, the afternoon is a great time to take a short walk around Casablanca and get your first real taste of Morocco. The city is modern, busy, and full of life. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant and try some Moroccan flavors for the very first time. Overnight in Casablanca.
After a nice breakfast at your hotel, you will start the day with a tour of Casablanca’s most famous landmark: the Hassan II Mosque. This is one of the biggest and most beautiful mosques in the world. It sits right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, and the views from outside are simply stunning. Spend the entire day in Fes El Bali, the ancient medina, guided by a local expert. Visit the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Ennajarine Fountain, and Al-Qarawiyyin University, founded in 859 AD and widely recognized as the oldest university in the world. Today, you leave Fes behind and start heading south through some of Morocco’s most beautiful mountain scenery. Your first stop is Ifrane, a small town that surprises most visitors because it looks nothing like the rest of Morocco. With its European-style villas and cool mountain air, people often call it the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco. It is a lovely, peaceful place for a short break.
From Ifrane, you will drive through the cedar forests of Azrou, where a special treat might be waiting for you: wild Barbary macaque monkeys who live in the trees and sometimes come right up to say hello. As you continue driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, you will pass through traditional Berber villages with stunning views all around. Drive south through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, where a ribbon of palm trees runs through a canyon of red and orange mountains.
